No love for Carey Price? The Vezina finalists were announced, and the Habs young netminder didn't make the cut. Pretty hard to argue with the three they chose, but Price could easily have been in the mix. His numbers aren't quite as good though but the position he was put into and the pressure he faced made his accomplishments that much better this past season! |

They should add more candidates so there is 5 nominees, there is just too many good goalies, not only Price could have been in the mix, but also remember Lundqvist

Was hoping to see Lundqvist get nominated...i'd have to assume him & Price finished 4th/5th in voting.
Tim Thomas should win. |

we had a thread about this the other week, there were lots of goalie stories this year that were worthy - Price, Lundy, but also Bryzgalov should have been in the mix. Jonathan Quick might have even been in there, his stats were very comparable to Price.
The 3 finalists are all deserving of a nomination, and I still think it will go to Thomas |

Rinne should deffinetly win this race in my opinion he is better than both other finalists by far
you know it is a sick year for goalies when the guy tied with most league wins and top 5 in most statistical category's is not in the top 3, as a habs fan i would love to have seen price there but like most have said there is a solid argument for all 3 of these nominees and a few others who were left off like Bryzkalov and Quick and others

I just can't see Thomas not winning this. He broke Hasek's save % record and put up a 2.00 GAA? I don't care how good your d is, those are awesome numbers! If you wanna talk about how good his d is or the system Boston plays, why isn't it Marty Brodeur's numbers he's breaking??? Yes, Marty did have 2 seasons under 2.00 as an avg, but never this save %. Not saying he's in Marty's company, but he's had a fantastic year.
Thomas wins, i'd bet money on it. |

Setting all-time NHL best records the way Thomas has... can't see him not getting it. |
