I am in a Yahoo fantasy league. I dont think it is keeper and my centers are
Nugent-Hopkins Thornton Stamkos Crosby
I have been shopping Stamkos and I got 2 offers for him should I take one of them or leave them?
Stamkos for Hossa and Kovalchuk
Stamkos for Seguin

Stamkos for Seguin i wouldn't do. As far as Hossa & Kovalchuk...who are your current wingers? |

Personally, I'd keep Stamkos and trade RNH. But regardless...
it looks like you're already deep in centres, so why take another one in Seguin? I'd take Hossa and Kovy - odds are good they're at least as good as your other wingers.

Don't get rid of have Steven Stamkos. Trust me I have Stamkos on my pool he his my 4th best player behin Letang, Franzen and Ryan Suter. Instead of trading Stamkos what about Thornton the only way you should keep him is if you have Ryane Clowe. If you do don't trade anything

You "don't think it's a keeper"??? WTF? Maybe you should find that out to begin with!
However, either way, i'd prob hand onto Stamkos. Seguin, if it were a keeper league, would be tempting with the way he's begun the season, but not for a one year deal! I too like the idea of shopping RNH (sell high) to try to get a player or two at a position you're needing more.
A question for "Stamkos a Hab"....how do you consider Stamkos to be your 4th best player? Those other guys are doing well early this season, but i'd have to say, he's arguably your top guy, not 4th best unless your scoring system is heavily favoured to point producing dmen and wingers??? |

oh, in that case, I would definitely upgrade your wingers with Kovy and Hossa. If this is a regular yahoo pool then you'll have to throw at least one of your wingers back into the FA pile to make room if you pickup 2 for 1. Cooke would be the one I'd throw back. |

IMO, thats exactly the reason you might want to move RHN - I don't personally like to bulk up too much on one team, for a couple of reasons:
1. feast or famine. Right now you're feasting, but when a dry spell hits, your pool suffers tremendously.
2. for yahoo pools, lack of team diversity can cause problems when 3 of your playing slots are taken up by 1 team - often you have to bench other players to make room, or decide which 1 of the 3 you want to sit.
In one of my yahoo pools I have 3 separate duo's (Crosby/Malkin from PIT, Kovy/Elias from NJ, and Eberle/RHN from EDM), and thats more than I'm comfortable with, on nights when those 3 teams play, I've used up all 6 of my forward spots on that group. And when they don't play, I have trouble filling my spots.
But thats just my opinion. However, even if RHN was your only Oiler, I'd still move him as his downside is greater. Rookies have a tendency to go into a lull around the 50-55 game mark as a full NHL season wears them down. Come Feb/March, you might wish you had Stamkos back... |
