In this shortened NHL season, there are more back-to-back games than usual, and there are a few teams who play each other two games in a row. (In part, due to there being no out of conference play.)
Coming up next week, the Stars play the Ducks three games in a row – April 1st, 3rd, 5th. And this just after the Stars play(ed) the Wild two games in a row, once on March 25th, and again on March 29th. (The Wild actually have a game in between, versus the Coyotes.)
The Minny games are in Dallas, and thereafter, the Stars host the Ducks on April 1st, before heading off to Anaheim for their two games there on April 3rd and 5th.
I'm not sure how I would feel as a fan with back-to-back games with the same opponent. If there's some bad blood (or a trouncing) in the first game, it definitely sets the stage for the next game.
