for
SJS: Cheechoo RW (84) Carle D (84)
Flyers
No thanks, not the trade I'm looking for right now. But here is an offer I have for you.
To PHI: Cheechoo(84) Rivet (87) Roenick(78)
To SJS: Briere (88) Rathje(80)
This is a deal that works both ways. I get a nice scorer for Thornton and you get some much needed defensive depth and an obvious upgrade to Lupul. Roenick gives the team leadership, and that alone could trigger some great output from the offense plus, as an added bonus, will definatly make Gagne better. This is a supurb deal. What do you think? |

Sharks, I thought about your trade and I'm willing to accept it in principle, but I'm looking to go about it in a different way. Here's my proposal. I will trade you Gagne 87 and Rathje 80 for Cheechoo 84, Rivet 87 and Roenick 78. After the trade goes through, I'll drop Briere 88 for Smyth 89, who is a free agent. Then you drop Gagne 87, for Briere 88. Essentially, everyone ends up with in the deal you proposed.

Umm, I'd actually like to do it the way I proposed. That way I'm sure everything is 100% okay. There is no reason that you cant just pickup Smyth. Is that OK?? |

That's an interesting thought. And you have a point there about my offensive production, although I don't actually have Smyth anymore, he's who I dropped for Forsberg. The problem I have with your deal is it leaves me woefully weak on the right wing. Maybe you could add your players overall stat to the lineup page so it's easier for me to formulate a counter offer.
Also, as an aside, I believe Svatos is actually an 81.
-Avalanche
Just go to the 14 page GM Simulation page im on the first page to see all my players overall. Contact me soon with trade proposal. By the Way Tucker can play right wing he' s been successful playing there for me.

Sharks,
Well, if that's the case, then I'll wait and see with 2 new rosters coming into the game tonight. I just don't feel confident enough without a number 1 centre and the scoring load solely on Gagne. I feel like Gagne is more of a finesse player relying on his centreman, but smyth is more of a grinder and will scrap out goals regardless of who he plays with. I'll go through with the deal if you're comfortable letting me pick up Smyth first. Maybe I can organize some deals that will allow me to send Briere your way.

Flames,
I would do that, but your roster has changed so much that it's hard to find all of your players. Basically the reason I asked is because I want to see your depth chart along with your overall stat, so that I can trade position for position easily.
It all boils down to the fact that I'm very very lazy, and don't want to flip from page to page when trading. The goal of the rosters and lines page as I see it is to have one place where everyone can go to formulate their trades.
As far as your specific trade is concerned, trading away Hejduk and Svatos leaves my second line right winger rated at 79, which I'm not comfirtable with. |

The only trade I'd be willing to do at this time for Roberts, is Hannan.

If the trade with the Sharks goes through, pick up Gagne with Naslund and trade him in place of Naslund and we have a deal.

Ok, the point of all of this is I thought was to try to upgrade your left wing? Dropping Briere 88 for Smyth 89 accomplishes this, and I think this is the most logical move for you. If that was to happen, I'd take Briere 88 back with Gagne 87.
So, this is how it would look for you: 89 Smyth LW 80 Rathje D
This fixes your LW problem giving you a gritty goal scorer.
If you did this, it would allow me to pick up Briere 88 with Gagne 87, as he was officially last part of your team. The reason I was hesitant to do this before was it left me quite weak on my left side. But if you partner that with Vancouver's trade offer, it addresses my needs.
This is best for all three teams invovled, especially you. You get arguably the best left winger available, I can keep my number one centre, and the Canucks can get the defensive help they need.
If you just want to keep Briere, I don't understand why you would considering he's a centre not a winger, that's not a trade I want be involved in.
Let me know if you want to upgrade your wing, not centre as I'd like to retain Briere.

Ok,
Well the trade isn't going to happen. I merely thought you were interested in doing what is best for your team. My apologies if my offer left you a bit confused as well. I didn't think this was going to be a difficult trade. Try and find yourself a left winger. You've got plenty of talent up the middle.
