Poll Question:
Eric Liknes has been sniping in the WHL. Do you think that he will get his team to the Memorial Cup?

i heard eric liknes is quite overated, with limited stickhandling ability and choppy, lumbering skating style. he is currently on a 38 game pointless streak and a 28 game goaless streak.
lately, he has been restricted to the bench. |

i meant to say that he is on a 38 game goalless streak and a 28 game pointless streak.
but anyway, as i was saying, his below average play recently has earned him a seat on the pine.
its up to him to get his game back on track. he may be capable of being a second or third round nhl draft pick, but not a great. |

from the recent games i have watched him play he would be lucky to get 70009 draft pick he is a lazy idiotic player when he is out on the ice. |

eric liknes plays for the red deer rebels. sorry about those stats they were from last year actually. he is aboslutely tearing it up right now, scouts think he can make it. personally, i think that last years performance was an abberation. he is actually good.
what do you guys think? |

Just went on the rebel’s website, and couldn’t find any details on this kid.
Either way, the rebels have a history of putting out good players, so I wouldn’t be shocked if he ended up being a good NHL player.
I’d reserve judgement on whether he is going to be the next great one until we see him develop a little more. A lot of players don’t live up to potential, e.g. Alexander Daigle.

i legitimately believe that eric liknes can break sidney crosby's rookie stats and put up better numbers in the whl than cros did with the oceanic. this is a guy who has the talent to score 1700 career points in the nhl. go to the red deer website again i am sure you can not miss this guy. they did a small feature on him sportscenter. |

It is easy to come to that conclusion.
1.) You have not posted a link because you do not have one. 2.) He is not listed on any site anywhere on the internet. 3.) You made him up...

He did get sent back to his midget AAA 15 team and the coaches say he has to develop his defensive awareness more then anything. because Red deer plans on using him when hes matured enough, which is not far away |

Let me break that tie. How can he take his team to the Memorial cup when he's sitting in AAA?
Also, if he's been sniping in the WHL, his name should appear somewhere in the stats page of the Red Deer site, which it doesn't.

sorry hkalirah, i can not answer those questions as it is prohibited by federal law. AAA and the Memorial Cup are the same thing, and you are probably going to the wrong red deer rebels site. there are two teams, the whl one and the AAA one. he just recently got shipped down to the iowa barnstormers for defensive awareness development. there is a link on him. go to google.ca and type in peyton manning. |
