                      | I have to say, I was one of those before the playoffs who would have defended Thornton a bit. I thought that this was the year he was going to put it all together, I thought he had matured as a superstar and leader.
So far, it's been . . . meh. Actually, worse than that. The Sharks have not been the better team at all, and Calgary is up 2 games to 1 after a monumental hit and four goal rally. The offensive leaders for Calgary (Iginla, Langkow, Phaneuf) all scored in the big comeback.

Who have been the top sharks thus far? I don't think Thornton is even in the top five . . . and yes, the heat IS on!

                      | I would like to say that mainly why he cant perform in the playoffs is b/c he is a huge threat and teams are marking heavily on him, just like Kovalev. But doing this opens up other players and other lines to break out, example Pavelski and Clowe. But with this being said Big Joe must pick it up if he team will have any success in the playoffs, but I must say Calgary has had success with that 7th seed before, I like where this series is heading. |
