I agree, regardless of Stanley Cup victories (which could very well happen in the near future, I would count Calgary as a legit contender), Iginla is the best. Like Grapes says, he's just a lion out there. |

Al MacInnis. Put him on the poll. Fleury and Nieuwendyk too. Seriously, how could you leave these guys out? |

I have to go with Lanny McDonald, what an inspiration in 89, not to mention the cup winning goal. |

I'd still say Lanny "the moustache" McDonald, but it'll soon be Iginla.
Crap, can I change my mind? I say Iginla now, after looking at the numbers. Sorry, but McDonald just had one great year there, about 3 good years, and 4 more (4 of his last 5 years with Calgary) where he was injured about half the year and put up somewhat ordinary numbers. I know he was the heart of the team and all that, and the captain, but . . . some homeage has to be paid for the total amount of production, and the era one played in. Without the cup win, there wouldn't even be a debate . . . but quite frankly, in that year they won the cup, Lanny only played 14 games and had a goal and 3 assists.
Iginla - 11 years basically, mostly injury free, and impressive totals - regular season and the playoffs. He gets my vote.
