A quick one: What do you think the draft day surprise might be? There hasn't been a draft day this rife with speculation and rumour in years, and of course it doesn't help that the Isles remain mum on who their number one will be.
Will the NY Islanders pick Hedman or Duchene? Will one of the big names out there for trade rumours (Lecavalier, Heatley, Kaberle, etc) get dealt for a high pick?

My prediction:
A few surprises. First, the Islanders don't pick Tavares for some reason, or even Hedman, and take Duchene.
Then, Colorado makes a deal for their third pick . . . could be a variety of guys, but let's go with Heatley.
And finally, I predict Burke gets the fifth pick which turns into Schenn, for Kaberle (there'd be extra parts in that deal).
I'm all about the drama!

| Sean Burke has a stroke after NYI offer up the #1, then go sike. Kevin Lowe comes in and kicks him when he's down. Avery says something dirogetory about Mr's Gretzky. JT gets picked 2nd, Hedman 1st, the Senator trade Heatly to San Jose for Pronger and send him his final check with white powder on it. |

Oilersd make a deal for Bouwmeester's rights. Then, they use #10 pick this year, Horcoff, and Visnovksy for Heatley.
Top 5 picks are no surprise what so ever.
Lecavalier goes to LA in a tons of players/picks deal.
Burke complains in interviews because nothing went his way.
Wait, I think this was a dream I had last night.

Ha ha, good stuff guys.
Well, looks like so far (4th pick just made, Kane) everything went according to hoyle. BO - RING!
Seriously though, Isles finally did the right thing, I think. They need Tavares more than a Hedman. But now, as we look to fifth . . . and with the pressure on Burke to get a Schenn brtherhood on the team . . . is there a deal up his sleeve?
The excitement is killing me!
