Eklund is reporting that a deal is close to send kaberle to the Canucks. IDK where Eklund makes up this BS from.

Why would you consider this BS? Makes perfect sense to me. Canucks are in need of a puck moving offensive defenseman so why would this not work? Only reason i can see is from everything i've heard, Burke still holds a huge grudge against the Canucks organization for the way he was sent packing as well as his replacement and good buddy Nonis! However, if there's a player or players/prospects that Burke is interested, this makes perfect sense?

Hope it happens, but i won't hold my breath. I know what Burke is like. He's prob offering Kaberle for Hodgson and two first round picks.

Yeah, I also wouldn't call that a total BS rumour, After losing Ohlund the Canucks wouldn't mind a defenceman like Kaberle, and they could deal one away at the same time probably (they are just as deep at that position). However, I just don't see it.

Alex116 hit the nail on the head when he mentions the grudge that Burke holds against the Canucks . . . the only way he makes a deal with them is if he thinks he is screwing them over. If that's the case, I would think the Canucks GM (can't remember his name) would be smart enough to take a step back and think about it.

I bet you Burke isn't offering Kaberle at all - he'd listen to offers for him, but I am guessing he's offering guys like White and Van Ryn and Frogren and Stralman . . . of which White would probably be worth the most (cheap, young, potentially solid 2nd tier d-man on a good team). And I have a feeling that on a very good defensive squad like Vancouver's, White wouldn't quite make the cut.
