I want to trade one of 3 players Gionta, Ray Whitney, or Setoguchi. Who would you put on the chopping block?
Here are my picks from available players in my pool that I would be willing to trade for. Who would you take? (Only pts are for goals and assists.)
Peverlry, Neal, Brad Richards, Malone, Rene Bourque, Plekanec, Wolski

Thanks for your advice!

id hang onto setoguchi because once hes healthy he is on one of the most productive lines in hockey. Ray Whitney might be the odd man out and i'd say Brad Richards or Rene Bourque are better fits simply because carolina is so terrible

There's a lot of dirty old occ's around thats the problem

I would be trading away Whitney. I would be taking Brad Richards for certain in his place.

Brad Richards is good for 80 or so points this season, as he is every season.

If it is James Neal, then I would also be happy with taking him if Richards became unavailable. This kid, once back from suspension can find the back of the net. Playing Richards won't hurt either.

Even though I love the guy- I would dump Gionta and pick up Perverly. It makes it easier that he's hurt now to do.

Peverly is going down as possibly the best waiver-wire pickup of all time, and averaging a point a game. Also, Atlanta's forwards aren't exactly deep so expect lots of key ice time for Mr. Rich as well.

If Perverly isn't available and you can get Plekanec for cheap, he is quietly becoming MTL's top scorer, and should be much easier to acquire than Brad Richards.

Well, seeing as Gionta's out for a month or more, i think your decision is easy (sidenote, i'd have chosen him to be traded anyway). As for who to pick up....out of the guys you listed, i'd take ANY over Gionta at this point, even if he were healthy! Having said that, in order, i'd take:
B. Richards
R. Peverley
J. Neal
T. Plekanec
W. Wolski
R. Bourque
R. Malone
