Who said Henrik wasn't scoring goals without his brother? Thrasher, thanks for saving me the time because i was about to look those stats up! 10goals, 8 assists in 18 games? Wow, and this is from a guy who's never been known for scoring and moreso just his assist totals? Seriously, if this stat is correct, whoever said that he wasn't scoring goals during Daniel's absence must be chewing on a little foot right now? |

hawkinoilcountry said that. And that's what I thought that Henrik was lighting the lamp when his brother was out. |

Yea I'll have a little foot in mouth with my morning coffee on that one, I seriously thought his production had dropped off with Daniel out.
However I'm still going to give MVP to Luongo for the 'Nucks. Vancouver can still win without the Sedins contributing. But Roberto is the "pulse" of the team and it's not far off to corelate the Team's success with Luongo's.
The arena wall in chicago should be credited with a goal. |

Hawk.... I think this is similar to the Markov / Cammalleri argument. Both are valid picks as far as MVP's go but i'd still lean towards Henrik like i would Cammalleri for the first half contribution. If i had to keep one long term, i'd prob keep Luongo. |

Actually,
I'd have to argue that comment a great deal. I believe firmly, that if you take both Henrik and Daniel out... the Canucks don't win hardly at all. Perhaps a game here and there, but that's about it.
Luongo can't score goals, they need the Sedin's. No matter how many pucks he stops, they can't win without the Sedin's. Burrows isn't going to lite it up without those guys.

exactly, if luongo is the only reason vancouver is a playoff team then why didnt luongo ever play in the post season until he got to Vancouver...Seems to me the canucks made the playoffs a few years with out him with goalies like cloutier and auld, and i would argue that the team the canucks have currently trumps any of those teams that had mediocore goalies in the past. |
