Here is a list of players that I think were snubbed from appearing in the all-star game. Some of these guys just deserve to be on the ballot more than some guys on the ballot.
Hiller, Rask, Turco, S. Mason, Howard, Price, Neuvirth, Visnovsky, Bogosian, Myers, Giordano, Regehr, Liles, Kronwall, J. Johnson, Burns, Subban, Del Zotto, Karlsson, Yandle, Goligoski, Hedman, L. Schenn, Savard, Horton, Lucic, Seguin, Ennis, Skinner, Sharp, C. Stewart, Franzen, Hall, Eberle, Brown, Hornqvist, Zajac, Boyes, Kesler, and Semin.
There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs".

From your list I really only think that Howard and Semin were really snubbed. The rest of your options seem to include a lot of up and coming players that I think could be potential all stars, but are not there yet. A couple of your options for goaltenders don't really make a lot of sense to me. |

I am absolutely offended Awes at some of the players you think were snubs.
What place do rookies Skinner,Hall, Eberle, Neuvirth, Ennis, and sophomores Rask, Del Zotto, Hedman, and L. Schenn have in the All-Star game? Absolutely nuts for them to be there! Unless they were producing like Stamkos, why should they be on the ballot? They'll probably be on the young-star team (if there is one this year!) but definitely not on the all star team.
As to Rask, Steve Mason, Price? What were you on when you thought they were snubbed? They have done nothing above average to deserve a place on the ballot (this year). |

So you'd rather have Giguere playing in the all-star game than Steve Mason?

All of the guys you mentioned are better than players on the ballot.
I specifically said that some of the players just deserve to be on the ballot then others who are on the ballot.
Nothing above average? THEY HAVE PLAYERS ON THE BALLOT WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED A SINGLE GAME YET!!!!!!!

None of those players were snubbed from appearing in the All star game, that was just for the fan voting, and you can still write in a vote for any of those players. Luke Schenn was not a snub, He is the 5th defenceman on the worst team in the league, why should he appear in the All Star game? The All-star game is very flawed, and there will always be players who should be there not at the event. The only players on your list that I could actually see at the game are Sharp and Stewart, and Stewart just because of the amazing start he has had to the season. Last season Chris Stewart was no where close to making an All Star game.

Awes I did not say a word about the players on the ballot, only the players you said were "snubbed."
I didn't give my comments on the players on the ballot, so please don't put words in my mouth. |

@Canucks man: By quoting himself, awes was indicating that the players I was commenting on he categorized as being potentially more deserving than particular players on the ballot. At least that's what I think
@Awes: I still disagree. I couldn't care less who is on the ballot, it doesn't change my opinion on the players you think may deserve a chance on the ballot this year( except for howard and semin).
Though i agree that there are players on the actual ballot that shouldn't be there, like Giguere, or Khabibulin(what kind of message is that sending to the kids about morals !), I don't think that it in anyway implies that the players you mentioned should deserve a ballot spot! |
