BB went nuts on the boys during an intermission. Going off on an f-bomb rage. I LOVED IT. People talk about how he should be fired but boy.. that video shows that he wants to win more than anyone out there! He's frustrated because look at the talent in that locker room. Ovechkin, semin, backstrom.. And they havn't been there for BB but He's making a statement- he's fed up. i love it

Actually, I read that as desperation:
"I really, REALLY want to keep my job here, guys!!! And you are not making that easy!!!"
BB had his chance, fire him. The players have clearly given up on him, so I think at this point, the management should do so as well.
Who on this site thought Bruce Boudreau would be the first coach fired? Anyone?

I would think that Bruce Boudreau is one coach that is a likely candidate for getting the axe this season if he doesn't produce a team that vies for the Stanley Cup, heck I would have fired him last year after another disappointing playoff run.
It's not an Olympic year this year so I think Wilson could get fired if he doesn't get his defense and special teams rolling this season. Burke has a lot of money tied up in the Leafs defense and it really is all the Leafs have going for them. If the Leafs are as horrid this season as they were last season in pp's and pk's then he is good as gone, it may not be until the end of the year though...drat.
I agree with Torts, Sutter, and I would add Terry Murray to that list too. Those three coaches could be gone mid-season if nothing is going right.
I'm even more interested in who you think the replacement coach would be for any coach that could get the axe this year. If Wilson were to get fired the replacement could be....Ted Nolan (should be in the bold prediction thread).

Torts, as in John Tortorella? You think he could be fired by mid-season?? Well it already is mid-season and the Rangers, a team most picked to be a non-playoff team, currently have the 4th most points in the entire NHL (behind only Philly, Pittsburgh & Detroit). If anything, up to this point i think he'd have to be considered one of the early coach-of-the-year canidates.
Tortorella finally has the Rangers playing like a team, they work as hard as anyone in the league, everyone is committed to doing what it takes to help the team win. Every player is blocking shots, back checking, etc. Torts deserves A LOT of credit for the Rangers strong start...now hopefully they can continue playing like this for the rest of the season/playoffs! |

Of the three toxic said, I think Sutter will be gone first. These kinds of rants happen all the time im guessing. It's only because the cameras were rolling that it was publicized so much. BB will be gone by next year if they don't at least get to the conference finals.

Sorry guys, I didn't quote that right, but, the above was a cut & paste of a post from Gustoroni. That being said, in the same thread, I did pick Tortz as well. Hind sight is 20/20, huh Ryan? |
