I also think it will be the Sens, but they're missing from the list? |

Sadly, the Oilers will get the the dubious distinction of being the worst team in the NHL for 2 straight seasons. As soon as Renney made that foolish comment about making the playoffs the wheels fell off completely. Whitney's injury was crippling and between the other injuries to Eberele, Horcoff, Hemsky, Foster, et al, the Oilers just collapsed. They are not a good enough team to not have all their players healthy and they are not a good enough team to not play their best every game. The Oilers have been reasonably competative and are a better team than last year, however they are not there yet. No where near.
It's the Oilers. |

I just hope the Oilers don't lose the 1st overall pick in the lottery this year, because they will be last. Even a 4pt gap to second last(ott) seems insurmountable. |

The reason I said the Sens, is because the rookies in Edmonton keep getting better, while Ottawa are starting to trade out their useful veterans.
Will Edmonton ship some vets out, the few they have left? Perhaps. But the rookies continue to improve. Ottawa, lack that. Only getting worse, while Edmonton will slightly improve.

Oilers hands down!
There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs". |

Ottawa Sens - as stated by someone else, they are getting rid of their better players, and will only get worse. Edmonton, on the other hand, has a somewhat competetive squad every second game or so. I really see the Sens mailing it in from here on down.

Unfortunately, I think the Sens will finish last in the league. At least they'll stand a good chance of getting a 1st overall pick.
Edmonton will be the bottom in the West. |
