Ottawa has traded Chris Kelly to Boston for a second round draft pick in this years upcoming draft.

Looks like Ottawa is making some serious changes and Boston is just stacking
up the players!

What you guys think of this one? What will Kelly
bring to Boston?

I've always liked Kelly.

He should provide Boston with good defensive play. He's a guy that brings a lot to the defensive side of the guy, from a forwards perspective. He should help the PK.

I don't understand this move as Boston is at the top on the defensive side of the game, offence is what we need. But i do like Kelly. I think it's part of the bigger picture of the Kabby deal thta's apparently imminent, prolly going to have to cough up Wheeler.

Could be a bigger part of that potential Kabby deal, in that Kelly is a centreman and perhaps a centre could go to Toronto? If it's someone like Marchand, it would be more than a one for one I'd think for sure . . .

The more I look at Boston's line-up, the more I realise they have too many centers, and here they go aquiring a guy who is a depth - albeit very solid bit part - centreman.

Kelly is a solid player but . . . where does he fit in? After Bergeron and Krejci on the top two lines, you have Marchand, Campbell and Seguin - discounting that Savard makes a return. I'd have to think that Kelly is an upgrade on Campbell, as he is as solid a third line center as you will get. And Seguin is not your fourth line centreman (although he's played a lot of wing I think) . . . so to me, knowing of course they want to nurture Seguin as a future top line guy, Campbell seems like the odd man out.

Someone's gotta move.
