I'll admit he knows his stuff, but he says some dumb things and likes Pronger waaaaay too much.

| He knows his stuff but he tries way to hard to make himself sound liked. He annoys the hell out of me and I always can't help but hope that when they do their one up / one down, when Pierre is rinkside that maybe, just maybe the puck might take a proper bounce and cut him off in mid-sentence. Someday. |

Well, like i do every 6-8 months when someone starts this same topic, i like him! Sure, he uses the same stuff too often at times ("Monster") but who doesn't?
Overall, i think his hockey knowledge is better than many guys out there who do similar jobs and i much prefer listening to him on most nights. |

Pierre is the best guy to create a drinking game to. A couple of yrs ago my buddies and I had to drink any time Pierre dropped any of his 10 Favorite sayings. If the pens, flyers, red wings or blackhawks played you couldn't get through a period without being tanked little own an entire game
He is verbal diarrhea at its finest, but the man knows his hockey & in comparison to Glen Healey on CBC he is 100% better. If he developed the Ray Ferraro mentality of dropping knowledge in between brakes in the play then he would be even better then he already is.
Overall, he does a great job just needs to tone it down a bit

DC, I think Pasty was trying to make a sarcastic point that it's spelled Pierre Mcguire.
Mario, not to sound like the english police but I think it's let alone an entire game, not "little own." Made me smile, but not in a way in which I'm trying to be rude 
As far as Mcguire, at least he shows some emotion and seems to try really hard. Irritating, but he can't control that, it's just him so I can't fault him for it. |

| I hate how he picks one player every game he calls and sucks him off for the whole 60 minutes... annoying... other than that though, he really does know almost everything about hockey and players... |

Its just the sound and tone of his voice, goes right to your brain. Sure he knows quite a bit about hockey but i guess any of those guys who live and breathe hockey 24 / 7 have to have a great knowledge of the game.
Funny how they get picked for the jobs though. Can you imagine spending hours on end ( in an enclosed space ) listening to P.Mcguire...G.Healey...and M.Milbury....omg  |

Pierre McGuire can definitely be annoying but he does know his stuff.
That said, I remember reading (last season, I think) that hockey fans would turn to the RDS broadcast because their announcer was so good. I also heard that some people would mute TSN's feed and listen to the radio feed just to avoid McGuire and his "monsters."
And, Mario - (and everyone else) have you seen this?
