Of that list, it's gotta be Cory Schneider..although i do think there are lots of better backup goaltenders in the league than some of the options you have listed.

Personally, i love having Martin Biron as the Rangers backup. He's been very good when called upon this season, and is signed for just $875,000 for this season & next.

because he shares the exact same name as me....i'll say Cory Schneider.

BUT.....just because he embarrassed my Leafs tonight in a game they should have won, i'll also say Scott Clemmensen.

Without a doubt Hedberg, followed closely by Lindback in Nashville & Schneider

Tough to pick between Clemmenson or Theodore . . . in the past I would have said Biron, but he isn't at the same level anymore, IMHO.

I'll say Theodore, as a back-up who anyone would be happy with going into the playoffs out of necessity.

Does Rask really count?

If yes, him all the way!

There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs".

the list seems a bit loaded Kesler, no? Schneider from that list for sure, and I'd also give him the nod for the entire NHL as well. He's been spectacular nearly every time he's had to play, and has needed to on most nights he's played - he's not just getting the usual backup duty with weak teams on Sunday's.

That being said, I'd be hard pressed to call that a fair call, I'm not overly familiar with the play of other team's backups...
