apparently he was "misunderstood" last year, due to "bad communication" between him and the Islanders. He apparently wanted to play there all along after he was claimed on waivers, so its good that he's finally getting his chance.

Nabakov will play a short while, then leave in a trade deadline deadline . . . that's my prediction.
I really think the Isles are looking at Montoya now as their potential starter, with Rick "whenever I play, it's aaaaaallllll good" Di Pietro as the other injured tandem/starter/back-up goalie.
Nabakov should be good bait for some talent coming their way, however. If he shows he can still play.

anybody else think nabokov is a weak goaltender? at one point in his career maybe he was good... maybe. he will be lucky to be a back-up this year.
