Quite a few notable names attending NHL camps on a tryout basis, including...

Michael Nylander- Philadelphia
Petr Sykora- New Jersey
Owen Nolan- Vancouver
Todd Fedoruk- Vancouver
Manny Legace- Vancouver
Ray Emery- Chicago
Steve Staios- NY Islanders
Jay Pandolfo- NY Islanders
Steve Bernier- New Jersey
David Aebischer- Winnipeg
Fabian Brunstrom- Detroit
Trent Hunter- Los Angeles

As well as guys like Hollweg, Stralmon, Begin, A.Eriksson, Winchester, Mair, etc.

Ray Emery could work himself into a back-up position, I could see that.

Aebischer in Winnipeg is interesting as well . . . haven't heard his name in a long time, so no idea how big a chance he has to make the squad and at least start as a back-up.

And for some reason, I could totally see Brunstrom sticking with Detroit on a third line . . . just a hunch.

But I don't see any potential diamonds in the rough here, really.

Nylander had his best years with Jagr but philly just looks too deep for Nylander to play on a line with Jagr

Wouldn`t be surprised al all if Brunstrom plays a season with the Wings and pots 25 goals....Detroit seems to have a history of making hockey players better.
