Tim Thomas said he wants to take a year off, so I doubt it will be him

Isn't Price a RFA. I would like to see Boston sign him to an offer sheet. That would be awesome. He would be worth 2 or 3 first rounders. Boston can afford to give that up.

the heir apparent has been Rask for the last couple of years, they have been grooming him to take over for Thomas as his retirement approaches. The job will be Rask's to lose next year - I think that would be the case regardless of Thomas's plans.

Highly doubt thatll happen though. Price is most likely resigning in mtl. Im sure if he wasnt the last team the habs deal with is boston :-) . Rask is a solid goalie though boston will be fine with that defense in front of him.
