Poll Question:
As of now, who is the first person you want to vote to get to the All Star game? Vote for the player you think deserves to be in the All Star Game so far this season.

I voted Crosby, but Lecavalier and Kovalchuk are shoe-ins...
Hey, did you get that card yet, PainTrain? |

Nice Pics except for Boyle who I believe has yet to play this year due to a severed tendon in his wrist. |

East: Sindey Crosby - Sid's practically in no matter how he performs Vinny Lecavalier-Having an oustanding season, especially the last few weeks Mats Sundin-Finally having a great season, no injuries (yet) *knocks on wood* performing well every game
Brian Campbell - Showing great puck movement on sabres' PP and definatly putting up the numbers Anton Volchenkov - Sens Dman has carried great defensive play from last years playoffs early into this season
Martin Gerber - Is quickly stealing Ray Emery's job as first place Senators' number one.
West: Henrik Zetterberg - Great start and no signs of slowing down Joe Thornton - Even a mediocre season for him is keeping pace with the scoring leaders Jarome Iginla - Is bringing the flames back single handedly from a slow start to the season
Nicklas Lidstrom - Always will be one of the leagues premier blue liners Chris Pronger - Is putting points up and still being a physical presence in the west
Nicklas Backstrom - Is maintaining his great play from last year, but someone could come along and take this spot.
Notables that should make the All-Star game: East; Kovalchuk, Eric Staal, Justin Williams, Martin St.Louis, Daniel Alfredsson, Dany Heatley, Alex Ovechkin, Zach Parise, Olli Jokinen, Daniel Briere, Tomas Kaberle, Zdeno Chara, Andrei Markov, Jay Boumeester (sp), Sergei Gonchar, Henrik Lundqvist, Martin Brodeur.
West; Alex Tanguay, Joe Sakic, Paul Stastny, Mike Camellari, Daniel + Henrik Sedins, Rick Nash, Paul Kariya, Jonathan Toews, Milan Michalek, Brian Rakalski, Rob Blake, Matt Carle, John-Micheal Liles, Chris Osgood, Evgeni Nabokov

Guest, I'm curious as to why you chose Hasek for the west, when he has only won a fraction of the games Osgood has, and hasn't played very well through the course of the early season..

Sudnin deserves votes, it is for all intensive purposes his last chance to get in, he is having a good season.

You touched upon a good point, Axey. Does Leclaire deserve to be in the All-Star game guys?
Seriously, do we expect him to keep going? Are we going to look back and kick ourselves for sending him as opposed to say, Luongo? Are we dumb to not go the safe route, and let the NHL watch the fan favourites as opposed to the cinderella story?
On the other hand, should we peanilize the best goalie right now in the NHL for not having any credentials to date? Should we snatch the opportunity from a young goalie to have a moment in his carreer, let alone life, that he will never forget?
Obviously they will both get voted in. But, still, I think that there is a question over who deserves our insurance votes.
