Of course I have no idea of the accuracy of this statement, however...
I had heard also, prior to the trade that Heatley wanted out due to personal reasons regarding him sleeping with a teammates wife/gf. I was not told which player, but you suggest Neil.
Of course it could all be gibberish, but it may be the truth.

There is a million rumours about why Heatley demanded a trade out of Ottawa (I live there), and absolutely none of them involve him being unhappy with the team/coach. Basically it was believed to be off-ice personal stuff, if one believes the gossip. Regardless, I'm a big fan of Zach Parise and if I'm paying to watch an NHL game then Ovechkin is probably the one player that provides the most entertainment. So they are the two that stand out for me at the moment.
I play beer league hockey in Chris Neils home town. His brother plays on one of the teams and the rumour flying around there was Heatley is the father of Neil's second born. Again, its just a rumour but it started before Heatley asked for the trade and its still a pretty big topic.

There's rumours about stuff like this all the time, I heard the problem that was supposedly between Richards and Pronger, was actually that Carter had slept with Hartnells wife, and Richards was on Carters side and Pranger was on Hartnells, it sucks but these guys are all young millionares and I'm sure stuff like this happens all the time. |

Gotta go with my boy Iggy! How can you not like Iginla? Honestly??
He hits, fights and scores....what more do you want? And probably more deserving of the Messier Leadership Award then anyone else right now... |

I love hearing the dirt on some of these situations.
I heard that is why Rod Brindamour got traded out of Philly. Word has it that Lindros was sleeping with his wife. So the guy has his wife cheating on him, than get ship out of town. Brutal! |

If your asking for a current favourite player in the NHL,then my vote goes to Crosby,if favorite player on your favorite team, then its a draw between both Sedins as I am a fan of the Vancouver Canucks. |

I am shocked that nobody picked the most complete player in the nhl. Being a pens fan it kills me to say this but hands down the most exciting player to watch from an offensive and defensive perspective is Pavel Datsuyk, i also like Toews and off the board i like Derek Roy.
Favourite player ever without a question is Mr. Lemieux # 66 the one and only. |

I mean, Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin, etc are all there (the top scorers) and as a Sharks fan, he's thrown in a few top SJ guys in Marleau, Thornton and Heatley, but where the heck do Laraque, Shelley and Vorocek fit in this list? Really shouldn't be a poll, should have just asked us our favorite player?
Well, i'd love to say Burrows just piss people off, but i'm gonna surprise some by not taking a Canucks. Jarome Iginla is my personal favorite. He to me, is not just a great player, but a superb ambassador to the game, a great interview and a guy who shows more class than anyone in the game imo. He reminds me of a more skilled Linden whom i also respect alot.
If we're going all time, Guy Lafleur. Grew up idolizing that guy!
Plus he can help turn some of the little [ moderator edit ] on to the game.

Current favourite to watch: Ovechkin, hands down.
Al-time favourite: Doug Gilmour. How someone with A+ skills could be so chippy and yet so classy off the ice is beyond me . . . but he pulled it off - in Toronto, no less.

Many.
Iginla, Crosby, Getzlaf, Stamkos, Green.
All-Time: Gretzky, Howe, Sakic, Orr, Bourque, Neely, Bossy.
So the guy walks into the bar with a dog and starts to watch the oilers game. They score and the dog does a flip in the air. The bartender says "That was cool, what does he do when they win?" to which the guy replies "I don't know, I've only had him for 15 years." |
