The Leafs have cooled off a bit from their fast start and I haven't seen them play yet this season, though I am wondering who the rest of you think is the most improved team from last season.
Did you hear about the retired proctologist? He spent 40 years saying "what's a place like this doing in a girl like you?"

Yeah, i'd go with TBay only cuz i don't see Atl maintaining this level for much longer.
Then again, there is Beans' beloved Blues |

Gotta go with the Blues, they've only lost 1 game in regulation time. |

I say the LEAFS.
Who would have thought that they would be ahead of New Jersey?

I agree with TB & St Louis, both out of the gates strong. |

Definitely one of SLBs or TBL
I would say St Louis as a whole for most improved team. Imagine if they had Kariya back!

It's definitly Tampa, I guess my prediction about them going deep could come true!
There was once a license plate in Toronto that abbreviated "Go Leafs" it read "Golfs". |

Comparing this seasons stats to last seasons:
Lightning in 2009: 6-4-5 (17 points) ended up 34-36-12 (80 points) Lightning in 2010: 8-5-2 (18 points) projects to 44-27-11 (99 points)
Blues in 2009: 6-4-5 (17 points) ended up 40-32-10 (90 points) Blues in 2010: 9-2-3 (21 points) projects to 53-12-17 (123 points)
The stats show St Louis doing better in comparison, but I can bet that they won't hit that straight line projection.
They've had a hell of a start to the season (and without Kariya!)

I'd personally think that Tampa would have a better chance of holding up than the Blues.

Blues vs Lightning, Stanley Cup Final? (LOL!)
Kidding.
But, both teams are playing well and seem to have improved on last season.
I expected improvement from Tampa Bay. As, they added a few quality pieces during the off-season. Including that of a new GM & Head Coach.
But, the Blues are a little more surprising. I figured they would improve some, mainly because the changes they DID NOT make. They have allowed their younger team, to remain fairly in tact. I believe this will help them some, as, they are all familiar with each other.
Also, the addition of Jaroslav Halak is proving to be a quality trade. I said it last season, I'll say it again. Halak is a quality goaltender, finally getting his chance to shine.
I know, I know. We can't say this "just yet". We've not seen enough of him, yadda yadda.
Halak is quality. He's just finally getting his chance, to show us at the NHL level. I've already seen it pre-NHL. Now, we'll all see it, NHL.
