i was just about to post this,, that has to be some sort of record he was fired what monday? Carlyle even won tonight.....

| Crazy! Not surprised Carlyle was fired, but didn't expect Boudreau would be the replacement. The majority of the reports i read seemed to indicate it would be a while before he got another shot in the NHL. |

I think Maurice is a much, much better coach than Boudreau . . . and I am shocked frankly that he got re-hired so quickly. I'll tell you this though, we'll see what kind of chops he has here, as this Anaheim team does have the talent on the roster to put together a decent season, and they shouldn't really be where they are right now in the standings.
We'll see.

| i did think boudreau would find another job quickly with his win record clubs would be crazy not to at least give him a try. although i did not think it would be with the ducks i thought the blue jackets personally. |

Boudreau is a Big Pile of crap and has Proven he hasnt won anything in the NHL.. Why Ducks Why ....
He was Pissing on OV and all the Top Cap's and wasnt getting it done why take him so He can piss on the Duck's No good .. DUCK's GM should be FIRED ..... |

Funny he goes from one mess to a bigger mess?? What's Boudreau thinking? I'm convinced he must have taken an abuse course in high school and hates to waste it or something?? 
I don't see him as the answer in Anaheim! |

Wow - two days of unemployment for Boudreau.
It makes you wonder if some poaching was going on? Did Ducks GM Bob Murray even have time to properly interview Boudreau?
Was something in the works before Boudreau (and Carlyle) were fired?
I took a look to see if the Duck and Caps played each other recently (which would present an easy opportunity to meet), and they did (in Washington), but it was a month ago. The Caps were 7 and 2 at the time, and the Ducks were around .500, so I don't think Boudreu or Carlyle's jobs were at serious risk then.
But I would not be surprised if discussions between the Ducks and Boudreau took place a few days (or a week) prior to when the axe fell. I know there are penalties for poaching, but there's a way for discussions to take place without taking on this risk.
It just seems very interesting how quickly Boudreau ended up in Anaheim. |
