Do your best Pierre McGuire/Craig Button impression.
You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take Wayne Gretzky

1. Edmonton Oilers-Nail Yakupov Way to talented for the Oilers not to take him. 2. Columbus Blue Jackets-Ryan Murray Not only is he the best player available he also isn't a Russian. 3. Montreal Canadians-Alex Galchenyuk The Habs need a centre and Galchenyuk is the best one in the draft. 4. New York Islanders-Filip Forsberg Very big winger does a great job of creating space for his linemates. 5. Toronto Maple Leafs-Mikhail Grigorenko A lot of people think he will go lower due to his poor playoff performance but give him a break he had mono. Hopefully for Burke he develops into a top line centre. 6. Aneheim Ducks-Teuvo Teravainen It looks like Selanne is staying for another year. He would make the perfect mentor for the young Finn. 7. Minnesota Wild-Matt Dumba They have good prospects at every position so they take the best player available. 8. Carolina Hurricanes-Griffin Reinhert Canes add another piece to their already impressive young blueline. 9. Winnipeg Jets- Jacob Trouba The Jets already have a number of offensive minded defensmen so they go for the shut down guy. 10. Tampa Bay Lightning-Morgan Reily Lightning select best player available offensive minded Dman Reaily. 11. Washington Capitals-Radek Faksa Should provide some competition to Johanssen for the second line centre role. 12. Buffalo Sabres-Cody Ceci Big offence first defenseman who is not a liability in his own end. 13. Dallas Stars-Derrick Pouliot Smooth skating defenseman should be a good fit in Dallas. 14. Calgary Flames-Slater Koekkoek Hard working Dman makes up for any weaknesses with great work ethic. 15. Ottawa Senators-Olli Maata Had a great playoffs. Sens need defence first defensemen. 16. Washington Capitals-Sebastian Colberg Kuznetsov is staying in the KHL for the time being so the Caps take their second forward of the draft. 17. San Jose Sharks-Zemgus Girgensons The Sharks need centres and Girgensons is an extremly safe pick who could be in the NHL soon. 18. Chicago Blackhawks-Hampus Lindholm The Hawks hope he can be the next Erik Karlsson. 19. Tampa Bay Lightning-Matt Finn Should develop into a solid 2nd pairing Dman 20. Philadelphia Flyers-Brendan Gaunce The Flyers have almost no prospect so they take the best player available. 21. Buffalo Sabres-Tom Wilson They took a defenseman with their first pick. 22. Pittsburgh Penguins-Andrei Vasilvski Very large goalie gives the Pens options at the position 23. Florida Panthers-Brady Skej Best skating defenseman in the draft. 24. Boston Bruins-Ludvig Bystrom Solid two way defenseman. A fairly safe pick. 25. St. Louis Blues-Tomas Hertl Good playmaking forward best player available. 26. Vancouver Canucks-Henrik Samuelsson Very smart player, needs to improve his skating. 27. Phoenix Coyotes-Steffan Matteau Should develop into a good power forward. 28. New York Rangers-Malcolm Subban Rangers don't have many options behind King Henrik 29. New Jersey Devils-Pontus Aberg Devils roll the dice on highly skilled forward. 30. Los Angeles Kings-Oscar Dansk Bernier likely to be traded during the off season.

You think Montreal will take Galchenyuk, Sensfan? I mean, you seem to know your prospects (better than I, for sure) but I don't know about that one in particular - especially with everyone from #2 down so damn close in ranking.
I personally don't see it . . . and a bunch of d-men are being projected top 5, top 10 now that might be safer, "non-Russian" bets for Montreal. I seriously think some massive Russian bias will be shown here this year.
I say they take Reinhart, if Murray isn't taken.
My guess is that Galchenyuk falls to the Leafers at #5, or maybe #6 if Forsberg hasn't been picked yet.
Should be a fun draft though, with so many different list orders.

Oh, and btw on your #17 pick,
would love to see the Leafs somehow get him - the best Latvian prospect since Sandis Ozolinsh, he looks to be the complete package (I am of Latvian heritage). And, Toronto has a HUGE Latvian community . . . think of how Latvia has the biggest, rowdiest crowds in any junior or international tournament, and now translate that to the Leafs having a Latvian. I tell you right now, his jersey would be top 5 in sales as just a prospect, I kid you not.

No way Reinhart falls to 8th. If he is there at 8 I hope the Oilers make a deal to get him.
There is talk Carolina wants to move the 8th pick and the Oilers would LOVE to grab him.
Hemsky or Gagner would be a piece for sure. It sounds like Jordan wants to play with Eric so it could be Pittsburgh getting it. |

See - I agree with you, but as I pondered the draft to come, and tried looking up as many possibilities as possible . . . I come upon Yahoo sports.
In their Mock Draft, they not only have Forsberg going 2nd, they have Murray taken by the Leafs at #5, and your Reinhart at #9.
Crazy. http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/2012-nhl-draft--experts-make-their-picks-in-mock-draft-.html;_ylt=AjhsG30pUO3SOgGTCulXkNJ7vLYF
